UNICAL VC To Complete All Abandoned Projects

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Professor Florence Obi has promised that her administration will ensure that all abandoned projects by previous administrations would be completed.

She gave the assurance on Wednesday in Calabar after inspecting ongoing projects on campus as part of the activities to mark her one year anniversary in office.

Recalled that Prof. Obi, UNICAL First female VC assumed office on Dec. 1, 2020.

She said that the University of Calabar was one of the universities with the highest number of abandoned projects.

Earlier, Obi had promised to upgrade Unical Medical Centre.

She added that students’ health needs in the university cannot be met except improved and quality medical services are provided by the medical centre.

She said since almost all the federal universities have TSHIP scheme in operation, the University of Calabar could not be exempted.

Obi said it was her dream for the students to benefit and also enjoy all services, especially, health services throughout their stay on campus.
