The management of the University Of Calabar has given reasons why school fees were increased.
The report has it that one of the major reasons why the University Of Calabar tuition fee was increased was for the availability of FREE WIFI on campus for students, Tertiary Institutions Social Health Insurance Programme, Biometric ID/screening, Development Levy etc.
In response to the agitation by the students, the SUG president had advised students to accept the new fees.
Although, the steep increment has been widely condemned by students; and across all social media platforms.
