Buhari To Decide On UTAS And Others For ASUU To End Strike
Buhari to decide on UTAS, wage increase for varsity lecturers, others, says Ngige.
President Muhammadu Buhari will this week take a decision on the controversial University Transparency and Accountability Solution (UTAS) and the condition of service for varsity teachers, Labour and Employment Minister Chris Ngige hinted yesterday.
To guide the President in taking a decision, the inter-ministerial departments and agencies committees of the Federal Government will turn in their reports on Wednesday.
The reports of the committees could bring an end to the four-month old strike embarked on by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
ASUU began a one-month strike in February which was extended at the expiration by two-month.
The union further extended the strike by another three months to give the government ample time to meet its demands.
Let Government truly come out and do the needful.Universities in the country especially Federal and State own sufferedtotal neglect by the Governments for too long. This is not supposed to be for a nation wanting to develop fast in every segment of the economy
I do hope that MUHAMMADU Buhari will sign on it without any delay Inshaa Allah.
ASUU strike will only exacerbate insecurity and lack of productivity in our society. FG should kindly do the needful.
We the student of federal university kasheri Gombe state and other university are begging on the Government to please help us and have pity on us the student, we are tired of staying at home putting all expectations on Government to pay Asuu the money or
the agreement the Asuu and the Government agreed on… Thank you 😭😭😭🙏🏾🙏🏾.
hmm i pray cos this tin is like a life sentence if he approves it the strike would be called off immediately but if he declines god forbid na one year we go use for house.
We wish this time government will overcome the issues and solve the problems.
You are right for being sensitive to the predicament of our children’s stay blessed Sunny
Nigerian university students have suffered much damages which couldn’t be estimated by words. We there for urge the president of the federal republic of Nigeria to consider this matter with care and love for the youth and parents of his country. God bless Nigeria.
On behalf of parents I am on my knees begging our President to please show fatherly love to our children and approve the requests of ASUU to enable the students go back to school.
I just hope buhari approves it with an immediate effect.. because it’s an embarrassment for a state universities to be on strike.. we the student of Niger Delta University Bayelsa and other universities are tired of this whole madness and we’re hoping the government would do what it’s ought to do soonest!!
We the students are already cheated by Buhari administration.strike upon strike.
Truly at this point asuu is just been selfish seriously, strike shouldn’t b the best way to drive home your demands. It not helping because we are the ones suffering it.
Please call off the strike those in other universities are moving forward while we are being held back please for the sake of our future call off the strike please. This is a delay to our future plans🥺please call off the strike 🙏
I have a video tape of this same Buhari castigating GEJ government for ‘wasting’ N7Bn on constitutional conference while lecturers are on strike and students are at home. That the NASS can do the constitutional amendment. This is the same man who doesn’t give a damn if children of the poor rotten at home. While his kids school overseas. How hypocritical can he be Buhari is the worst president that ever ruled. Everything he touches get destroyed.
I think this APC government is the Nigerian Youth’s enemy of the first order. Look at how it’s destroying their industrial ages.
