ASUU And FG Meeting Ends In Deadlock
The meeting between the leadership of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) and the Federal Government has again ended without an agreement.
ASUU had met with Professor Nimi Briggs Committee on Tuesday at the National University Commission in Abuja with high hopes of resolving the impasse.
Report has it that members of the Briggs renegotiation committee did not come up with any new offer on the table.
The committee pleaded with the lecturers to suspend the ongoing strike, with promises that their concerns will be included in the 2023 budget.
Strike continues…
I’m just so tired of staying indoors always
Why can’t FG consider us even if we ain’t their children
Always playing with our future 😭
I just hate it when they give us high hopes
This isn’t fair at all
Please stop strike please we ere tead
Asuu I don’t blame you people even if u are fighting for a better future for us since the FG has turn back on you people can’t you people consider us??? Or as most of those politicians children are schooling abroad some of you lectures your children are abroad too. And u people don’t want to consider us the common people??? What a shameful country called Nigeria!
Most lecturers and fg children are not studying in Nigeria,so if fg is not willing to meets asuu demands let asuu consider students and return to class, they say we are sacrificing for the future generations does that mean that the present generation future should be squashed, even though they say they are fighting for a better tomorrow for the student at the same time they should consider the sstudents
