All You Need To Know About UNILAG School Of Nursing
The School of Nursing, Lagos University Teaching Hospital was established under Lagos University Teaching Hospital, (LUTH) in July 1962 the same year and under the same decree on which the hospital was founded.
The School was opened with a student intake of sixteen (16) and there were only two (2) tutors and a health educator as the teaching staff. The School now admits once a year, entrance to the School is in October.
Entry requirements compare favorably with those for other professional courses. Successful candidates are interviewed by a panel for final selection.
The course of study lasts for four (4) years leading to the award of Registered Nurse (RN).
The school is headed by Director Nursing Education/Principal and the current academic staff strength is sixteen (16) with a students’ population of two hundred and twenty-five (225).
Currently, the School is one of the best approved and recognized School of Nursing in Nigeria.
